I wrote a piece for Jacobin about the misuse of antisemitism scholarship for authoritarian projects and the role German antisemitism scholarship plays in the dehumanisation of Palestinians and the justification of the genocide in Gaza.

How will this go?

Witkoff & Kushner: We tried to get you what you want, but we couldn’t.

Putin: Oh?

W&K: How about most of what you want?

P: No.

W&K: If we get you all you want we still can make a lot of money together?

P: Yes.

W&K: And if not, stall while you attack more?

P: Yes.

W&K: OK!

when Michael Phelps was dominating US swimming there was endless coverage of all his genetic advantages. His wingspan, the way his body processed lactic acid, on and on and on. Nobody, not one person, floated the idea of kicking him out of the sport for genetic advantages
“I just have concerns about fairness in sport” - no, you don’t. There’s nothing fair about elite sports. You’re just looking for post hoc justification because we give you the ick

"Most of all, they fear that "we won't be allowed in Israel anymore.""

You’ll never guess how the IDF decided to talk about killing these two kids, 8 and 11 years old, in its official statement
Two brothers killed in Israeli drone strike on Gaza
Fadi Abu Assi, 11, and Goma Abu Assi, eight, were gathering firewood at the time, their uncle said.

Israel has captured half of the Gaza Strip. It has killed tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands. It has turned the rest of Gaza into a moon scape. While it hasn’t succeeded in emptying Gaza completely it has still accomplished most of its objectives: the destruction of a people.
Any supporter of Israel would be well-advised to consider this analysis by Ben Rhodes. Blindly following Netanyahu ala AIPAC is not in Israel's best interest. At some point, Israel must realize that it lost the Gaza War. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/01/o...

Few things give you a position at Harvard quicker than enabling the murder of tens of thousands of people abroad and setting entire regions on fire.
Seems like as time goes on more people will adopt this already emerging consensus view of the Biden admin in MENA, but it's one thing to say it and another to hold the architects of this program to account: why does no one ask why CAP hired Blinken, why CNN hired McGurk, Sullivan at Harvard?
