It was quite the show. I flew IAH to SEA last night and that storm drove us into Mexico before we could take a right and head north. Good luck with the kids today, hopefully they’re nappers. 😉

What part of Texas are you in? I believe I know the storm you’re talking about. We flew past this around the Midland area at 11pm or so.

50 Marathons ☑️
October 5, 2025 at 8:05 PM
While I was mostly sitting on my ass this week for @serversideswift.info, and enjoying every minute of it, my wife has been prepping to run her 50th marathon. She came up with the idea 10 years ago and will complete her goal today. @mycrzyprspctv.bsky.social

Leaving London. Airports in the US should adopt this boarding announcement policy from LHR. The frequency and volume of announcements in US airports is ludicrous.

The workshop day of the @serversideswift.info is a wrap. I learned a lot, learned that there is much more I do not know, but I know tomorrow will be a great official first day of the conference.

It’s a beautiful day! These streets sure are narrow though.

Hot take. Hyde Park might be more beautiful than Central Park. I don’t think anyone slayed a dragon in Central Park.
September 30, 2025 at 4:05 PM
Ok it’s official. I’m on my way to London for @serversideswift.info. See you all on Wednesday for the workshop if not sooner!

Took me about three days to get camera functionality working in my app. This is the first one that's actually worked without crashing the whole thing. It's for sale as an NFT for $10,000 (not really). Also why do we still need to use UIViewRepresentable for SwiftUI Camera support in iOS26? (really)

Thank you! Whatever icon you want to make it can probably be done with a combination of lines, circles and triangles. Combining and layering those makes it an icon. It's probably the most helpful AI has been for me so far, just telling me the tools to use for what I told it I wanted. Give it a shot.
September 25, 2025 at 1:06 AM
To make my icon I used Sketch but also struggle with it. I don’t use it enough to know how. I actually used AI to describe what I wanted to do in Sketch, and it told me the tools to use. This icon took me about 4 hours to make. I’m happy with it and it has all the layers needed for dark mode etc

Approved! This took maybe an hour?? App Review isn’t messing around.

I just spent some of my advertising budget for this release on a conference ticket (and hotel), but YOLO.

So Apple's own Icon Composer app exports the icons with an alpha channel or am I holding it wrong?
