And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

And it's taken me four episodes to register that guy, that guy? OH THAT GUY! (Possibly the ultimate That Guy as far as I'm concerned). This game has only made the show more satisfying. Still very cheesy though.

But then what beats a lot of cheese for satisfaction?

It's been a sad day, but it's Robin Williamson's birthday.

It turns out that series 2 of A Man On The Inside is exactly the warm cheesy cheese I need, packed with "oh look it's them!" appearances.

I've been a part time Cure fan
most of my life. Faith, The Head On The Door and the latest LP, danced to the hits as a college goth, not committed enough to see them live, watch concerts on TV. But this is already proving a wild & fascinating read by @simonprice.bsky.social. An outstanding book.

I got a bit distracted by one of the screens in 2OO1: A Space Odyssey last night. Was half-expecting Clarkson or Gervais to appear in the bottom left.

One of the wisest podcasters in the land has said many times that Books about Books are the Best Books. Well, I think the same about films about Films.
LES PIRES (The Worst Ones, 2022) is an wonderful dive into the highs and lows of street casting with a totally brilliant cast. I highly recommend.

It's always worth subscribing to @jim.londoncentric.media for its excellent journalism, but this week's comes with a bonus out-take from THE THING (1982), courtesy of a Richmond shopping centre falling for the AI con.

Oh blimey, just when I thought the 1990s were back (young woman on Pointless this week in this classic combo) it's all the way back to the 1890s for them.
