The look you get when you hide your cat's food in a different place every night. I try to tell her it's an enrichment activity but she's not buying it.

RIP Big E on #GrandAve. We would have bought your food if your windows weren't egg yolk yellow, if your sandwiches had been 40% cheaper, and if you hadn't been owned by a jerk celebrity chef.

A new pizza place sounds awesome!

Two episodes in to season 3 and the parallels between the Ancien Regime and America 2025 kinda jump up and punch you in the face. Apparently I'm not the only one who noticed that.

Love how much energy we all spend circle jerking over classes of ebikes while car culture runs around with metrics of multiple tons, hundreds of horsepower, and top speeds only limited in triple digits.

Finally finished this 5 1/2 hours of brilliance. It took a while because I listen until I fall asleep. Some nights 40 minutes, some 5. It is so utterly compelling I struggle mightily to remain awake but always fail. Sometimes the story leaks into dreams. Peak storytelling.
⛰️🏔️ Episode 20 is now live! 🏔️⛰️

In this episode, we look at the amazing story of the Achaemenid Persian Empire.

But we can deliver a military strike in just minutes! When I try to decide which “plans” to choose or, often, when I try to access healthcare (that we’ve paid for), I think “Only a sick, sadistic country would come up with a system like this.”

Was watching Wrath of Becky with my daughter and it's an awesome nazi stomping adventure until the feds want to hire Becky to continue her good work. That part was totally unrealistic.
It's weird watching a movie with my 11 year old son where the secretaries of departments like Defense and State and Homeland Security are all dedicated lifelong professionals with the well being of the American people as priority one and realize this is Fantasy to him.

This was my thought when some guy in Mahtomedi lost $8M in a wrench attack a few weeks ago. Like, what is wrong with you that you keep $8M on a hard drive under your mattress?
This is why banks were invented, fyi.
Speaking of Sam Altman. . .

His ex-boyfriend (I know, right?) was just robbed of $11MM in crypto

2. My voice is not some singular thing - bike advocacy is a small part of my makeup-you don’t like me or my position on things refer to point 1

Extended fam in Hibbing asked about St Paul ICE raids at dinner yesterday. So we told them about @katiestp.bsky.social arrest at Bro-Tex.

2 takeaways:

1) Thankful to have supportive family
2) A *lot* more people in small places are aware of & repulsed by ICE than we probably give them credit for

From the MN Society for Professional Journalists: St. Paul police shot three photojournalists (MPR, Reuters, Sahan Journal) with "less lethal" munitions during an ICE operation yesterday. One had to go to the hospital. They say they were specifically targeted by St. Paul police.
