Every article I’ve read says Netflix isn’t interested in buying or operating any cable channels. So no they won’t be the ones turning CNN into a conservative network.

This would just be just as bad. Netflix only cares about WB’s catalog and a ton of jobs will be lost. Not to mention the disaster this would be for the theater business.
