I'm not saying that "the truth is always in the middle" or people should be forced to debate everything. But surely we can recognize that we are drawn to ideas that flatter our preexisting beliefs, and that this creates extraordinary dangers for understanding the world, no matter how smart you are.

It will be interesting to see software companies fail. I think we will see the remaining developers and other staff get overworked until things start to fail- expect more AWS and Azure outages.

Executives are deluding themselves fantasizing about laying everyone off so they can make infinite profits. Salivating at the idea. The technology isn't there to do it, but that doesn't matter in their delusion. We're in too far to back out now.

I'm not an anti AI person- I use it for coding projects. It's great for some things, but it doesn't do my software engineering job for me and it's not close to being able to. Companies are cutting staff and other investments so they can put all their eggs in the AI basket.

Somehow I feel like the US is probably not so bad here because we have so few high ridership lines.

Best eats are definitely the 7. Best parks might be the E with green lake, but the 8 has many nice smaller ones as well.

Google maps doesn’t seem to be getting this data however. Do they have a different feed? I’ll have to dig in a bit more later.
