Writing should't feel like competition. But such a situation can feel like fighting a battle that was lost from the start. You must decide if you want to share your stories, knowing that you will never have more than a handful of dedicated readers (if at all) or if you move on to whiter shores.

I believe that's one of the reasons why new fans might not feel wanted or welcome because the fandom they have entered has no longer any "need" for their creations. You have this idea that you're burning for, but you're at the wrong place at the wrong time and the right time is long gone.

Maybe it would help to ask people to only put a name in the sheet if they can provide robust evidence like screenshots etc. to make it safer for the athletes, who like we know since yesterday can access the sheet as well.
