Clever solution!

I tried with the tip of an xacto knife. I moved one into place and bent two others.

Making it worse is my specialty

It continues

It’s always a risk but dammit.

I ordered a new board. Since I got this on a combo and everything else is fully assembled and ready to go...I would have to return EVERYTHING in the combo.

No. I'll play with the pins, practice putting them back in place tomorrow, but a new board is coming Sunday.

I honestly think it's my fault.

Well, this looks like my first proper RMA. I don’t know if it came this way or if I did it, but Kat, who has a steady hand than me by far, also took a look at potentially seeing if we could move them back into place and we’re both scared

I got the Labella’s because that’s what I had read. He used currently, but that could be bad info. I like them though.

No, just the flats

I play really light bass strings (40-95) and I would recommend D'Addario Half Rounds. They are right in the middle of roundwounds and flatwounds -- they feel and sound great. I think they're the best kept secret.

I have them on most of my basses, I use LaBella flats on the Hofner because of course

I decided this was the year to upgrade partly because Borderlands 4 is a (very fun) slideshow, and partly because our Win 10 machines could not be upgraded to run Win 11. So after having good experience with 11 on a few laptops, I was like, okay, let's finally get on board.

Getting there.

2TB boot, 4TB for Kat’s art & photography work, and another 4 shared between games and miscellaneous storage. And I’m mounting an 8TB platter drive inside for backup.

Changing guitar strings is a Zen activity for me because I have achieved a certain level of skill. But building PCs still gives me a lot of stress. Very afraid of breaking important components that are also very expensive. I have to say, it’s going well and things are a lot easier now.
