Stayed up past bedtime to finish book 4 of Qiang Jin Jiu. It was twelve chapters of a trade war over the price of rice, and then in the final chapter a new cat was introduced to the plot. I am entirely satisfied.

Tried to remember the ACTUAL name of the show @thehoyden.bsky.social just calls Travel Boyfriends, to double check S2 airdate and decide whether to resubscribe to Disney today or wait until next week, but let me tell you, I had a HARD time getting to "Are You Sure?!" It's called Travel Boyfriends!!

the version of "why the sudden sharp bend in career path circa 2012" that I tell in interviews is that I was tired of having toddlers squish crackers into my hair so instead I decided to work with faculty, who can be equally difficult to negotiate with but don't do the thing with the crackers.
