“I’m taking this pretty seriously!”
(Also, kicking myself for not liking all of these 7 months ago. Beautiful game!)

You had to import this? But didn’t it get a localization?

That game rules. It just feels like a completely unconventional narrative for that genre every step of the way.

That game has some wild pulls. It took me a while to realize that this is a thrash rock remix of the level transition music (arcade and NES), most of which you never actually hear in the original games.

Huh, those Guile and Chun Li faces are on the backs of the packaging for the GI Joe SFII figures. I have no idea where that art was used first.

I got one of those sticks about a year ago and was surprised by how comfortable it felt for playing SFII. I typically prefer Happ-likes over Sanwa-likes, but this one feels good.

The credits in the manual list (I believe) three guys from his studio, but not him. Though I’m sure he’s taken credit for it on his resume.

The only conclusion I can reach about these is that they were designed as regular stages that sapped lives at some point during development, and then they realized they were too hard and scrapped that aspect. Blasting ships in a game without a score system is dumb, as is the risk/reward system.
