*"Goat proper use" you mean 🥰

Sure, there are money to be made in exclusivity, people like to be first to get things, especially when it supports their favorite artist.

But it's not worth it to keep things hidden behind a paywall forever. Someone will leak it. Not of malice even, but just to share because they like it.
November 30, 2025 at 8:52 PM
Right?!

"Lost income" is a lie and it's so sad to see artists, of all people, fall for the fake anti-consumer rhetoric invented by corporations to fear-monger you into allowing them to rob you.

People support you because they can and want to, not because you forced them to by hiding your stuff.
November 30, 2025 at 8:42 PM
It's not that non-consentual leaks are good, it's that keeping stuff forever hidden and then erasing it is bad too. You should be the one sharing your stuff.

People support you not because there's no other way to see your art, they do it because they like your art and want to reward you.
November 30, 2025 at 8:34 PM
The point I was trying to make is that people like your at for the parts that are unique to you, not the parts that are the same as someone else's art. Usually.
November 30, 2025 at 8:16 PM
Are you trying to make a point that I do compare myself to other artists when I choose someone's works to study for improving my own art?

Sure, I do, but I look at it from a point of practical necessity, not from an "am I a better artist than X?"
November 30, 2025 at 8:15 PM
I'm not trying to attack you either, but this is silly.

You were never going to be in control of where your art travels online. No one is. Nothing you post online is private. It will be spread around.

You decided you don't want the sun to rise in the morning and got sad when it did anyway.

Lol.
November 30, 2025 at 7:37 PM
I'm sorry you feel bad about this, but I think your feelings are wrong and you are just needlessly making yourself unhappy, when nothing bad has happened.
November 30, 2025 at 7:36 PM
Of course I was inspired by someone else to start drawing. I can even point a finger - @rickgriffin.bsky.social , his stuff made me want to learn to draw like that.

But since then I have learned to stop caring about how I compare to others and only compare myself to myself from earlier now. 👍
November 30, 2025 at 7:34 PM
You don't have to be grateful to them, but throwing a feat over people stripping you of power to destroy your own art - something you shouldn't be doing in the first place - is just not something I can feel compassionate about.
November 30, 2025 at 7:28 PM
Art must be preserved and seen.

You keep your patreon stuff forever sealed in a vault and even delete your works without a warning.

I know this is not what you want to hear, but people spreading your stuff, even without your consent, are doing us all a favor, including you.
November 30, 2025 at 7:24 PM
Why compare at all?

I'm my own artist, with my own fans and supporters, and I provide something that's uniquely mine.

I'm improving to surpass myself. 👍

If it makes you feel any better, the last version is, indeed, the best one.

How often do you need to?

I think I use curved text maybe once a year. It's not a problem to either use PS for that one case, or just rasterize the text in an absurd resolution and then lasso+transform it into what I need in SAI.
November 27, 2025 at 7:31 PM
PS is so hilariously overburdened with stuff, that there's always something you can do in it to touch up your final piece. If it's not filters - it's simple color correction and levels, if it's not color correction - it's liquefy...

The question is - do you REALLY want to? I just don't bother.
November 27, 2025 at 6:35 PM
😑 indeed.

The less you think about the situation you can't change - the happier you will be.

One day I'll be bored and draw context for this.
