Here here! If there's anything 25 years of coding CSS has taught me is that the road to the present is filled with ways to write CSS that no longer exist and have died off. Regular ol' CSS is a constant that will always work, and will always be the most valuable skill. Hell, it's never been better.

And it just keeps getting better!

Sigh... i feel like even in the "ass..." example, folks will try to convince by saying "just don't truncate in the middle of words".

I feel like I just need to ask, "As a consumer of products, when were you ever delighted that something was truncated?" 😄

Tooltips only work some of the time and have usability issues of their own.

I'm curious of your process and how you went from blank slate to final result. Especially how long it took. Was this all scratch from a prompt?

Browser support. The main one being older Safari not supporting nesting.
