My critique of this "inspirational" takeaway coffee cup is extensive, but let's go with:
1) As a parent, I laugh (bitterly) at the idea that my day starts now; and
2) I regret to inform you that the day will happen without your input or indeed consent.

Earlier this week I dropped by NGV international to visit my buddy and inspiration, Rachel de Ruvigny, Countess of Southampton (as painted by Anthony van Dyck). I know nothing about her, but I aspire to live my life such that people enact depictions like this in my memory.

I know I have lamented my tendency to get something ridiculous and goth when I'm supposed to be shopping for sensible clothes, but I'm actually really happy with this knit cowl dress, I feel like winter-mode Morticia Addams and how could that be bad?

Went to pick up my copy of THE INCANDESCENT by @emilytesh.net and in the process gushed so much I think I also sold copies to the bookshop owner, the postman mid-delivery, and another browsing patron. 😂
