Pátrún na Rinne

Ní mhaireann an tobar ná níl a fhios agam an bhfuil aon phics de. Ach tharraing Nioclás Breathnach cúpla léaráid de

Blathmac’s Poems

In 2013, Siobhán Barrett started on a PhD, supported by a @maynoothuniversity.ie Hume Scholarship and then by an IRC GOI Scholarship (@researchireland.ie), with the aim of creating a lexical database of the Poems of Blathmac. This soon turned into something much bigger.

James Carney’s 1964 edition was quickly realised to be not of a sufficient standard. So Siobhán embarked upon a new edition. This has kept us going for twelve years and will do so for many more years. We edited the final stanzas about the end of the world (omitted by Carney), in Celtica 2019.

I find it very strange how a legal decision which relates solely to gender recognition certificates – something under 18s definitively cannot have – is being used to justify changes to longstanding policies on including trans kids.

Lots of associations are in a very difficult position because they are being relentlessly attacked by transphobes backed by massive amounts of money. The whole strategy is to bully these orgs into submission to make everyone else afraid to be inclusive. It's really sad.
