It's been a month for ace live music! Senser at the Castle and Falcon were superb, so much energy from the stage and the crowd, and such a tight set. One of my most formative bands, still delivering.

Nova Twins definitely worth the ticket app hassle, they are bloody fantastic live; so much stagecraft and such a unique wall of sound

*tosses mortarboard in the air* woo! I definitely recommend anyone with an interest in Communities of Practice to sign up to @ewebber.bsky.social's course emilywebber.co.uk/ive-launched... hugely insightful and enjoyable, with a great format, and practical tools which have real world applications

Used to put uneaten cat food out for the foxes and magpies but with Crowley gone there hasn't been any. Anyway, this is in the exact place the bowl normally is, pretty sure it's a fox/magpie food summoning sigil

Lost Crowley yesterday, sadly. When you rehome an older FIV cat you know it's not going to be forever but he had lots of other complications and in the end his little body just started shutting down. Very sad, but it was the right time. He was the friendliest, most placid cat I've ever met

JD in wet dock for some maintenance, a bit of painting, sorting the bilge pump out and fitting a great new worktop, lovingly hand crafted by one of the other members of the cooperative. Very glad for the cover given how hot it was today!

Springtime at JD's winter mooring for maintenance! The bilge pump is working and the batteries are holding charge, and that's good enough for me today!

Lucky enough to see PJ Harvey twice this year, she is one of the greatest live performers I've ever seen, Gunnersbury Park was fantastic!

A grey, drizzly day on the cut (it's July!) but a nice day out on Macclesfield canal regardless, got stuck in Lock 13 which only has a 2ft rise, but we fished out a *lot* of weeds from behind the gate and managed to get through on 3rd attempt!

Jemima D is in dry dock this week for maintenance, we're doing an engine service, full clean and sort inside, and repainting everything external, it's so interesting having her up on bricks and seeing the bits you don't usually see; here's some before and after boat-blacking shots
