I'm in Yokohama for a conference this week and made a pilgrimage to the museum on my one afternoon off. It's so cool!

We see this pretty often with a different rhizocephalan-crab system. In that case, it means multiple parasites infected the same host. The color likely just indicates the maturity of the parasite externa (sac).
