LET ME IIIIN

Look, I always meme this game on my account but I have to be honest. Yes, Titans of the Tide improves on Cosmic Shake but not by much. Its level design feels more fun in the moment to moment gameplay. I feel as if they can do so much more with this style of game.

It's so lovely to see Microsoft allowing games such as Spartan Survivors to exist, a Survivors-like with the Halo IP. It has a similar issue to Megabonk for me though, where once you strip that IP away, what does it really offer? Not much. At least it's free, I suppose. Fine enough.

Megabonk is good but once the novelty of "Vampire Survivors but 3D" wears off it's blatantly clear it doesn't provide anything new to the Survivors-like subgenre, making it less enjoyable the more I play it, and made me want to play VS instead. Still solid though.

I'm logging this and moving on. It's great, and a GOTY contender for sure, but I couldn't help feeling disappointed and mentally fatigued after playing Silksong on/off. It's no better or worse than HK in my eyes so I'll lower my HK score a bit and rate them both the same.

Ball x Pit is a fun little game. It doesn't do anything too special and it tends to drag once you end up banging your head against the wall with its spongier enemies, but it's still enjoyable and that's all it sets out to be. So I appreciate it for that.

The only Game Awards that matter are mine.

It seems to be to the same extent they used it post-launch in BO6, for cosmetics in Multiplayer. Calling cards, loading screens, stuff of that sort.

Reminder that The Game Awards are nothing more than a popularity contest and an ad-laden miasma since Geoff Keighley kowtows to where he makes money. He does nothing to speak on behalf of the *actual* things that matter in the game industry such as the workers losing their jobs. Do not support him.

There's almost nothing to say about The Outer Worlds 2. It is the epitome of generic and hard to justify purchasing or playing in 2025 when we have an over-abundance of great games. All of the charm of the first game has evaporated into a 'fine' game, but a mid one.

Gonna wrap up The Outer Worlds 2 tomorrow. Grinded it pretty hard today. I can't believe the game pulled one of these. (No, it's not who you'd think.)

I've also become more and more annoyed by the main story as I've gone on but this sealed it, really.

Silent Hill f is absolutely one of my favorite games that I've played this year, even in spite of the poor combat mechanics. The themes this game tackles needed to be depicted in a way such as this. It makes you uncomfortable, and it shines while doing so.

Seeing a review of mine up on OpenCritic is so surreal. Like a dream come true. Like I'm finally getting somewhere after trying to do this for so long. I haven't been at Minimap long, but it's been a treat so far!

Ghost of Yotei is a great game but it left me confused - for I enjoy its gameplay/exploration a lot, but its story left me utterly disappointed and unenthused, so much so that it took me out of the experience. Still, I appreciate what it tried to do.

Ninja Gaiden 4 was rad as hell! I love the step in the right direction and return to form after over a decade since NG3. It has obvious flaws such as voicework and a disappointing amount of Ryu chapters, but it's still pretty good. Hard to justify at $70 though.

Pokemon Legends Z-A lies somewhere between good to great to me. I don't like it as much as PLA, for I found myself bored quite a bit at its story structure and aspects that hold it back. Combat is stellar, holds it up, and is a true step forward for the series.

I finally bought "Everything" because I was curious about it due to the same "Everything is on sale" joke during every Steam sale.

It's a game meant to be an art piece, but it's a lame and pretentious one that's not really worth the time as a sandbox. A mediocre art piece at best.

I made a visual of this via Topsters for people to look at.

I gotta say though, not having a single Civilization game on here, especially for a PC-centric list is blasphemous.

Keeper was a game I enjoyed at first but didn't really resonate or get until I let it simmer. I read Lee Petty's vision behind it and really came to appreciate it as an art piece. It's use of color and phenomenal art direction is something I'd consider an achievement.
