TIL the reason the Chuckanut interurban trail stops so unhelpfully in the middle of the route is because the interurban builders were done dealing with the mountains and decided to just go out over the water the rest of the way.

I like photos in which the scenery is framed by the foreground, but it's funny that it's now also the easiest way avoid having your phone-camera desaturate unusually prevalent colors.

Had an awesome time at the WA planning conference last week presenting on two favorite projects from my tenure at MAKERS: 1) the Washington State Zoning Atlas and 2) co-living. A fun swan song for my last 8 years at the firm!
