My dad served in the US Air Force. He drilled into me that it was his, and all service members’ responsibility to gauge their orders against the UCMJ, The US Constitution and their own conscience and decide if an order was legal and moral to follow.

In the 1700-1800s, metalsmiths snd clock makers and tinkerers of all type made tiny mechanical forms that performed tasks unaided. It even seemed as if some had agency, the spark of understanding in the clockwork. They declared the parlor trick “ALIVE!”. So too with AI.

My grandfather started a Machine Shop in Chicago in the 40’s…he made a shit load of money with DoD contracts and grew the place. IF he had given it to my dad AND my dad had given it to me (as was the plan) that would make me, by deffinition, a Capitalist.
