Also: There are now multiple narrow gauge boxcar models, designed to reuse the existing short curved roof boxcar/van's uv map so I don't have to redo dozens of textures.

For an alien planet that's supposed to be bad at standardisation, the boxcars were looking awfully similar in shape and size.
inglenook sidings with several boxcars of various colors. there is subtle height variation on each of the cars. ditto but with a smaller tuning fork layout

#TrainMisconductor is a pixelart railroad switching puzzle video game under development by myself and MsAsterisk. You run an alien locomotive, shunting cars from track to track in increasingly convoluted rail yards, while minimizing your timer and move counter to keep your conductor happy. #IndieDev

You can now zoom in and out in #TrainMisconductor. The scaling factor is set such that broad gauge cars are about the same size when zoomed out as narrow gauge cars are when zoomed in.

It was going to be a standalone model with a higher detail density, but this way i actually get to finish it.

Also, i don't have to do the valve gear, which i'll admit, was a very daunting task. I mean i still want to do it *eventually*. But I dont need to do it for Train Misconductor.

I've just printed the prototype body shell for my #3Dprinted Thomas locomotive. Overall it fits really well over the chassis. I think the design process may be coming towards the end. You can also see the loco next to my #Clockwork version. #modelrailway #TTTE #Thomasandfriends
In the foreground is my 3D printed electric running Thomas locomotive sitting on some 00 gauge track. The body shell is very much a prototype and therefore is printed in a light orangey brown, and it is lacking many of its extraneous details. The body shell is attached to an 0-6-0 wheel config chassis 3D printed to my design. In the background is my 3D printed clockwork version of Thomas. This model is printed in a dark blue and has many of its details intact apart from a face or smokebox door. In the tank is a small hole cut to allow the key to be inserted to wind it up. The shot shows the birds eye view of the locomotive. From here you can see into the cab where the motor is on display. A lack of extra details like the cab roof, coal load or funnel are more prominent on this test print. This is a side shot of the Thomas locomotive on its own. A lack of buffers or a smokebox door are prominent from this angle. This shot is similar to the last however on the other side of the locomotive.
