3/n If you're feeling ambitious or need to stretch that pound of ground beef even further, you can add some diced potatoes. Either saute them after the onions and garlic, or if you use canned potatoes, drain them and add them when you add the mixed vegetables.

2/n Add 1 pound of ground beef and cook until browned. Add a bag (12-16 ounces) of frozen mixed vegetables (the kind with peas, diced carrots, and cut green beans is good for this, but other types are fine, too) and soy sauce to taste).

1/n Filipino-style ground beef with mixed vegetables: mince 1 small sweet yellow onion (Vidalia if you can get it) and a few cloves of garlic. Use 1-2 tablespoons of any type of neutral high-temp oil to saute onions over medium -high heat until translucent, then add garlic and saute 1 minute.

Here are the pups in their costumes. I took Harley to the place in our neighborhood that offered Bark-or-Treat, and we brought home treats for Bella since she's too gimpy to walk that far. Also, Halloween on a Friday is the bomb-diggity. We had about 100 trick-or-treaters!!!

It might be a little while because I'm going to get pics of myself in costume and also my dogs in their costumes.
