I visited one of my girlfriends and her husband in the late 70s when they were stationed at Twenty-nine Palms Marine Base.

The first morning, I took a short walk after I got up, only to be admonished by her husband not to do so again, as there had been several recent rapes on the base; ON the BASE.

Not surprising.

The twice-impeached criminally seditious traitor keeps telling them that they're above the law, and a certain amount seem to have taken him literally.

I agree on both points.

Nixon was also an actual patriot, too, whereas Reagan was just looking for the grift.

ICE agents have shown up at different types of protests, and frankly, I'm not into crowds in the firdt place, and I'm currently between vehicles, so it's a moot point for now.

I'm more effective as a writer in any case.

Trust me, I know, I was a stockbroker in the 80s.

I never trusted Reagan as governor of California, and I've despised him ever since the complicit DNC failed to back Carter's re-election campaign, and laid the groundwork for Orwell's boy toy.

He even called the year right - 1984 was his landslide.

Nixon was a far better man than Reagan, though I disagree that taking us off the gold standard was a good thing, since it only made it easier for the oligarchs of the day to drain our Treasury.

The Republican slide toward fascism started under Nixon, but without his help.

Reagan gave it jet fuel.🤬
November 27, 2025 at 9:40 PM
Exactly - only the most extreme among the Republicans fully backed the twice-impeached criminally seditious sociopath.

Run-of-the-mill Republicans couldn't be bothered with him, and didn't take him seriously, to ALL our detriment.
November 27, 2025 at 9:36 PM
No, Eisenhower and Lincoln were TRUE Republicans.

The Bush family helped finance Hitler in the 30s, and every R administration since Nixon has pushed further and further into fascism, which is NOT true Republicanism, which was based on love for the Constitution and respect for the rule of law.

He was certainly our last decent and honorable Republican president, and the only one in my lifetime who REALLY CARED that ALL Americans got a fair shake in life.

He was a far and away better man and human being than the pond scum calling the shots since Reagan.
November 27, 2025 at 9:31 PM
Perfect!
Thanks for the laugh.
It'll be even funnier when tRump has to have it explained to him.
November 26, 2025 at 10:43 PM
Speaking as a longtime resident of Tennessee, won't SOMEONE do the right thing, and throw JD Vance into a long-used privy where he belongs?
November 26, 2025 at 10:37 PM
It's distinctly possible.
November 26, 2025 at 10:30 PM
That's all he's ever been interested in - quick term gains with optics he can spin to his advantage.
November 26, 2025 at 10:29 PM
Home Depot, as a company, donated heavily to the campaign of the twice-impeached criminally seditious traitor.

They've also allowed ICE to operate freely on their properties, which they could stop in an instant, if they wanted to do so.
November 26, 2025 at 4:28 PM
Good for them.
November 26, 2025 at 4:26 PM
Precisely; establishment, do-nothing Democrats BLEW OFF THEIR OATHS OF OFFICE as effectively one body. Then, not satisfied with merely acquiescing, they confirmed virtually EVERY UNQUALIFIED APPOINTEE on the twice-impeached traitor's governmental demolition team.

DAMNED FEW will EVER get my vote.

Unconditionally.

Screw Putin, screw Russia, and screw this vile administration.

. . . Which is another benefit they receive.
November 26, 2025 at 6:55 AM
Which would take reinvestment in our public educational systems commensurate to the amount of funds diverted and/or outright stolen by Republicans from the Nixon administration forward.

They've reached their goal - tRump supporters are the least educated and worst informed voters in our history.
🤬💯

All of their investments, not just mutual funds.

There are zillions of other investments besides mutual funds.
November 26, 2025 at 6:40 AM
And has been since at least the Nixon administration.
November 26, 2025 at 6:35 AM
I've known since childhood hood that this CAN happen here, but I never imagined that it could happen so FAST, nor that our entire Congress would be complicit.

It's beyond sickening.
