I have a secret cat chat (encrypted of course) where me and about 25 people I only vaguely know exchange pictures of our cats and do things like rate stretches, acknowledge Double Dangles and other athletic feats, and of course, attempt to divine where all the legs are:

An update on painting The Vessel.
July 18, 2025 at 3:18 PM
Working on The Vessel is going to take a lot of time. Those surface decorations are not for the weak. Bottom: gators and Queen of the night flowers, middle: Florida scrub jays, a blue grey gnatcatcher, and gallberries, top: ruby throated humming bird and false indigo.

My cat is injured (he'll be fine) but I have spent the last 48 hours at a steady run behind him trying to keep him from hurting himself/getting out of bandages/etc. He is either in pain and therefore not moving or he is a drug-fueled noodle-goblin just trying one naughty thing after another.

Two mugs finally came out of the kiln! #pottery

This one is a Florida Scrub Jay, a threatened species here in the Sunshine State.

That pink is Cerise Pink from Kiwi Underglaze btw- cannot recommend enough!

Just three I think! Potentially four, now that I'm digging in my memory. But I was really impressed at the way it covered! This is the first color I've used of theirs but impressed!
Oh wait I did a test piece for some of the colors. These are all three coats:

Hey - I realize this post is old but just got a bunch of these colors and they are working out great so far. Here is their Cerise Pink

My other child, the Frozen Podcast, just won the Kidscreen Award for best podcast last night! We were up against some amazing work so very proud of everyone who worked on it!

Genuinely, we worked really hard to make the Frozen podcast - it's worth a listen!

Have been busy trying to finish up these bird mugs before the holidays. The red one is a ruby-throated hummingbird with false indigo and the blue is Anna's Hummingbird with false indigo.
