A new report shows #Australia is on track to become the first country to eliminate #CervicalCancer by 2035.

The early adoption of #HPVVaccines for girls and young women and timely switch to #CervicalScreening rather than Pap smears has them well on track to achieve elimination and save more lives.

"We'd like to officially introduce the newest member of our Kangaroo Island kangaroo mob! Coconut is the daughter of Isla, an adult female kangaroo who was born here at Moonlit Sanctuary. With her big sister, Hazel, keeping her company, Coconut has started coming out of mum's pouch and bravely exploring the outside world. "Kangaroo Island kangaroos are usually a chocolatey-brown colour, which makes Coconut a little unique amongst the mob. Coconut is a leucistic kangaroo, meaning that a difference in her genetics has caused a lack of pigmentation, resulting in her bright white fur. Albino animals completely lack all pigment, meaning they have pink or red eyes, but because Coconut is leucistic her eyes are actually blue. Moonlit Sanctuary does not selectively breed for albino or leucistic animals, so Coconut was a pretty big surprise! "Kangaroos can be born with leucism out in the wild, however their white fur makes them stand out in a crowd and means they're a more obvious target for predators. Safe and sound inside our predator proof fence, Coconut is free to practice her bouncing without a care in the world."
