I just found this drawing I did when I was a student for the first time, way back when. Billie Holliday. Lady Day. Such a voice.

@romanpalace.bsky.social During a clear out we found a booklet about Fishbourne published by the Sunday Times. Doesn't have a date but my guess would be early to mid 70s. It's a bit grubby and musty smelling. Might you want it anyway?

@weratedogs.com Clodie was most put out to learn that there were snakes in Scotland, and that they weren't friendly. She got better, her fur grew back and she's pleased with the fit of her new Christmas present coat

Can you ask them why there's a picture of a Roman Soldier with a halo in the Cathedral? I wondered if it might be St Martin who, I recently learned, gave half his Roman military cloak to a freezing beggar. But maybe not.

You are now a magician. A wizard. A sorceress. A witch.

What is your familiar?

Mine? Mabel Syrup, no contest. Blimey, I miss that wee face ❤️

Here's the glory that was Mabel Syrup, recently gone to Valhalla but still a tonic for the troops

I don't but if I were trying to find one I'd be looking for the Register Office documentation when she was married. It looks like this was in Dublin in the second quarter of 1920. The page shown won't have her signature but should enable you to obtain a copy of the marriage certificate.

Vale Mabel Syrup, sweetest of hamsters. Found lying peacefully in her cage next to a piece of Madeira Cake. Now on her way to Valhalla, to join the feasting animals below the floorboards.
Here she is in her prime

Can I put in a word for the Great Polish Map of Scotland? It's the largest relief map in the world, built by Polish ex airmen by way of thanks to the people of Scotland following WW2. It stands in the grounds of the Barony Castle Hotel, north of Peebles. It doesn't take long to see but is magical
