Just this coyote, you know? (Or dollar store wolf, according to some.)

He/Him/Good Boy. Old enough (to be your dad…)

I live in the state that’s shaped really weird. No, not that one, the other one.

Are you gonna eat that?
PayPal is up to some shit that doesn’t involve censorship… it seems to be the platform it coming from that triggers it likely based on regional scams and such.

Argentina+vGen apparently risks a ban, others have gotten one too.

They felt so bad about it… I was just like “I’m not as concerned that it IS on my lawn as WHY it is on my lawn… is everyone ok???”

Got back from my folks one thanksgiving to find the neighbor’s oven on my lawn.

Fire department had just plopped it there.

At least it was no longer on fire.

It’s not just Spotify. One track is on there, and the other is on Apple Music. That distributor listed in the Spotify info puts crap on every service.

If it’s optical, you might have tens or hundreds of slightly different wavelengrhs of IR being pumped down the fiber. Maybe more than just on or off too.

Ultimately, it’s all analog in some way.

Most SSDs don’t either. MLC flash uses 2^n voltage levels per cell to represent n bits/cell. Typically 4 levels.

WiFi is very similar: base symbol rates have to fit in a 20 MHz channel (but you can go wider)
November 27, 2025 at 2:06 AM
It varies depending on band, but subcarrier spacing can be as low as 15kHz so the symbol rate would be that. 15k baud. The data rate comes from the coding and modulation.

5G RF protocol is such black magic they literally call it numerology.

Tell them you can’t just eat a flash drive and shit out books.

Ok but how did they get it on the…

Never mind.

I dunno. I don’t like my paws covered either, but, I work around it with open-toed shoes like Keens.

I mean, you could fry a turkey in that.

The facts in this story have gotten distorted. It wasn’t the CEO, it was a VP/CISO who has nothing to with making or marketing their food products. He also said a bunch of racist stuff about Indian IT employees, etc…

So yeah, he should be fired, but I doubt the company was aware of his opinions.

… the original uid/gid is available and you can drop privs to that when you’ve done what needs root. If the original uid is 0, you the the user they are stupid and to use sudo.

You would think the installer would notice it’s running as SYSTEM and not launch it.

When you install as a user or even system-wide with UAC consent, that’s not an issue as the spawned process won’t be privileged.

I know linux, not windows, and when you run something suid/sudo…
