The most interesting thing here is not the level of financial support that was important - it was being treated like a human being.
Caroline Cawley has experienced the disability benefits system in both England and Scotland. She explains why the Scottish system is better.

Westminster Governments have siphoned off hundreds of billions of pounds in oil revenues from our corner of Scotland, yet in our hour of need Labour has abandoned Aberdeen & the north east.

Starmer, Reeves & Miliband must understand that the fight for fairness isn’t over.

Net migration has fallen again to 204,000, the lowest level since 2021 and is forecast to continue falling over the coming years.

Not that you would know it from the endless coverage of Britain's supposed "immigration crisis"

🟥 The UK Government deserves little praise for ending its own disgraceful two-child benefit cap. But it is too little and too late and nowhere near enough to fix this.

Absolutely incredible that Paul Hutcheon doesn't give a single mention to the charities and women's rights groups who have lobbied to scrap the benefit cap and rape clause. He gives all credit to Anas Sarwar and Labour.

It tells you that Labour only listen to themselves.

Maybe if she’d bothered her arse to meet our First Minister, as requested, she wouldn’t be saying that.
