I took my cats to the vet today, and the vet snuggled up with one of them because she is a very nervous kitty and she needed some extra love.

In other news, Charlotte my rescue kitty says it’s too hot. But also she says she doesn’t like to be brushed even though it will remove excess fur. She’s willing to trade a handful of treats for brushing though.

A bit of joy for these dark times:
Today was opening day for my town’s new library. And it is beautiful! I signed up for a library card. In addition to books there is an art gallery and a lovely little theater. And it was packed with people!

I gave 2 donations last year to my senate and house candidates. 2. Since then, I can’t stop getting emails begging for money from every damn candidate in the country it seems. It’s made me never want to donate again. But this former IL gal who’s now in NJ might send you a couple $ and a cat pic

I had to board 1 of my cats bcuz we went away for a few days & she’s diabetic so she needs vet care while we’re gone. I sent her with her favorite catnip banana but right before we picked her up she puked & I think the banana got thrown out. I ordered new toys. Here’s her sister with the new banana
