It's hard to figure out what I am most upset about, there are so many options. But I took a nice picture of the sunset from my back porch yesterday.

I got my Metamorphoses t-shirt from @flaroh.bsky.social and it is beautiful. Being a middle aged Latin teacher on summer break, sitting on my back porch with my cat, sipping an iced tea and reading a library book, while wearing an Ovid teacher is a vibe.

I took my Classical Epics class to the library archives today and we saw a 1502 edition of Ovid's Metamorphoses, published by the Venetian press of Aldus Manutius.

Shout out to my Pericles who kept me company on this snow day/sick day despite a wicked build up of static electricity in his fur. Thanks little dude.

Walked past Dionysus on my way to the endocrinologist's office this morning. There was a Poseidon, Demeter, and Oceanus too.
