An un-stuffed turkey takes about 13 min per lb. I do the math for 12 minutes per lb and temp it,
then get a feel from that how much longer it will take. I don't truss it because I feel the inner thighs won't cook quickly enough.

I took a walk at a park today that runs along the American River. I saw a coyote and a buck. There were turkeys strolling around too.

I took a walk at one our County Parks this morning. I saw tons of birds and squirrels. Found and avoided stepping in coyote poop. Beautiful weather here.
