Lawyer – mostly intellectual property in my practice. Lotta political opinions (don't worry they're all good ones).
Would it include legislation? I don’t think it would.

Where did this newfangled idea ever come from that courts “declare” law anyway?

part of it is that he genuinely holds *most* of the unhinged supporters that act on his rantings and ravings in personal contempt.

Israeli public sentiment was quite different just ten years ago. (maybe just pre Oct 7? Gallup doesn’t seem to have polled it since 2013 before 2023)

Hope it doesn’t harden there forever.

if you write “This outrage speaks for itself” you shouldn’t then write another four paragraphs about the outrage.

I think some of what is driving both the increase and perceptions of increase is that it takes comparatively less disposable income to buy other things, eg food. Housing is both expensive and *feels* more expensive because one housing payment = 10+ new televisions

Among other things, and as the court already pointed out, this suggests Halligan lied in her declaration.

“There was no additional presentation, interaction, or discussion with the grand jury outside of what is reflected in the transcript.” That’s not true!

Good segment. This one clip of card swiping B-roll was wild. Card is both upside down (mag stripe on top) and angled.

here's the language of the operative section. it's unclear whether the authority would exist without the thing its in response to, i.e. "the congressional redistricting in Texas in 2025," but the antecedent for that phrase is in the fact finding and it's the special session that already convened.

I think Halligan negotiated the form of the as-filed indictment w foreperson without sending a new indictment back to the whole grand jury.

I suspect it probably does reflect the grand jury's actual vote but also the court should dismiss it anyway, "suspect" shouldn't be enough here.
