This beautiful little acer in my garden has its autumn coat on. Pale limey green in the spring and summer these russet colours are just lovely especially in the morning sun.

Yesterday I made a day trip to NI to meet the fab @martinaot.bsky.social to record a pod cast at her #SeatingMatters studio. We talked all things OT, @elizabethcasson.bsky.social
career development, networks and our passion for our profession. It was defiantly a putting to rights conversation 👏

Off to Belfast. I wonder what that’s about? May involve a pod cast 😉. Flights late of course 🤷‍♀️. More later.

Moved from Suffolk to Buckinghamshire 3wks ago to another beautiful village. I’m hoping one of my friends here can identify this tree. It sits just outside our garden wall and I think it might be a Rowan. 🤞as if it is then might have lots of red berries in the autumn 🐦‍⬛

Last but not least the crab apple is now in blossom. What I love is the pink edges that show before the flower completely opens. A friend in my village has collected some of the fruit several years and made the most delicious crab apple jelly. Lovely on toast😋

I was in London when my gardener came last wk to cut grass & weed! Just love that he bothered to mow round the primroses that have decided to take up residence in the lawn. These are from a clump that came with me from Sussex 9 years ago and have popped up in neumeeous spots ….. and now the lawn.🥰

Here’s another pic for you Wendy. These hellebores are in my garden and brightened my afternoon of the first steps to a winter tidy up. They are always one of my favourites. I hope the flare up starts to recede soon.

Mr Frost sure does make for a beautiful picture this morning but now you know why it’s best not to prune your hydrangeas till AFTER there’s any chance of frost. The old flowers protect the new buds ….. and are so pretty when frosted 🥶❄️ Loved the frosty webs too!
