Oat milk good, Coldplay bad
The player character is essentially a historian piecing together different and often conflicting first and second hand accounts of the civilization that came before

The equipment in the game is like a museum of often forgotten historical weapons and armor curated from different civilizations

YOU ARE THE CHANCELLOR, YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON THAT CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN

Not got my glasses on so I read "defies" as "dies" at first. The disappointment I currently feel is indescribable

In the exact millisecond I pressed "send" I realised that all of the users are me and all of the games are Elden Ring
November 28, 2025 at 2:51 PM
May I suggest user specific splits:

GOTY for masochists who want to be digitally beaten up

GOTY for the gays

GOTY for autistic history nerds

GOTY for people who want a game so big they can leave reality forever in it

GOTY for dudes who just wanna sit on a horse and watch a sunset with a beer

If the Lords are interfering with the manifesto promises of an elected government then the government needs to fight back.

Backing down is a spineless, cowardly betrayal, a true hallmark of this Labour government.

This usually goes well

Isn't that sort of the whole point of a greasy spoon though? You can pop into any one and get the same things, in similar quality at the same general price

A Troy budget would have probably spent all the money on Trojan horse insurance
November 27, 2025 at 8:53 AM
Oh no they have too many new players? I feel so sorry for them being forced to spend half a billion in one window. This is such a terrible situation for them, is there anything I can do to help out?

He has to wear an ankle monitor for 6 months so I assume he'll have it off by Friday. Given that he had to serve 5 years in prison and was out within 3 weeks.

There are no dregs in a marmite jar, I get in there with a silicone spatula to make sure I haven't missed a drop

Not sure, but I do know their court system is actually an extremely "fair" system amongst religion based legal systems worldwide, lots of opportunities for appeal and a tendency against wielding the law in an unjust way. They're one of the best of a pretty bad bunch I guess
November 26, 2025 at 1:21 PM
Take that point up with the author of the article, I quoted them.

As for Bahrain's courts, I have no idea. I'd assume they'd at least hear the case as the UK has done for theirs as state immunity is a cornerstone of international law and diplomatic relations.
November 26, 2025 at 12:37 PM
This is a sovereign immunity argument rather than a diplomatic immunity one, they're arguing that the entire state is immune rather than the individuals who did it

2 UK courts have stood strong so far, but as you suggested, the Supreme Court is not to be trusted here

His lawyer asked for 28 days to pay on a grand, seems like things are going well for him
November 25, 2025 at 12:42 PM
I worded this ambiguously, let me clarify: investigate the rest and put them all away. Have a House of Lords that's just Dame Lawrence, Baroness Goulding and a couple of others
November 25, 2025 at 12:34 PM
Let's be direct about this: that's what a peerage is for. They're just supposed to hide their corruption from the public, look into the rest and 99% will be in court
November 25, 2025 at 12:30 PM
We're repackaging shrinkflation as a food trend now?
November 25, 2025 at 12:28 PM

They didn't indict James Comey properly, submitted fake indictment papers in court, presented privileged materials they're not allowed to see to a grand jury and let the statute of limitations expire all the while.

They're trying to do authoritarianism but are too stupid to pull it off.
