A cool 1929 map of the line known as the Mail Rail, (separate from the tube, tho they helped the Post Office build it). It went into operation in '27 and was used until 2003. It had 8 stations and driverless trains on narrow-gauge. The proposed line (dotted) was never built.

This is a very fascinating thing...
Potentially interesting development - I had to check in at the police station on Tues regarding my arrest for wearing a pro-Palestine Action t-shirt. But have just got a letter saying that since a case file was submitted to the Crown Prosecution, they are postponing my appointment till next month.
