I’m still puzzled as to what the farmer’s gene is that makes us believe inheriting the farm should be a protected right.
Here we have the Norwegian odelsrett where the eldest child has a right to take over the farm, including recovering it if it’s sold outside the family.
Yet it’s killing villages.
