Albuquerque citizen who is super-enthused about what Mayor Tim Keller has achieved in 8 years and will achieve in the next 4 years if we put him back in to keep leading Albuquerque's comeback. #ABQ #Burque
Pinned
“Darren White is allowing us to take the gloves off! WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!”

“Who gave them permission to feed the homeless at all?”

- an #ABQ APD email, 2010, just before our police began arresting volunteers who were feeding our homeless.

Ah, #Albuquerque, remember the Darren White Era?:

KOAT7: What is your view of the Rail Trail?

@mayorkeller.bsky.social: We'll get it done. This 7-mile parkway - a generationally incredible project like our Tram or our Zoo -- will be telling our story and celebrating our culture.

Darren White: This makes me think of needles.

Splendid. Tim's best qualities. Wise, psychologically healthy, self-actualizing. Hits the 3 key things: Compassion & realism on homelessness. Best Police Reform Mayor in America - our police have our confidence, respect & trust. And standing up to authoritarianism.

Darren White is back, taking on our Reform Mayor
Tim Keller here in Albuquerque. Remember the Darren White Era of policing? How he kicked off 5 years of unjustified use of force, shootings and killings? And how we responded in '14 w/ the 2nd largest protest in #ABQ - 1,000 strong - since the 1960s:

Q. A candidate for Mayor says on Day One he’d take tents & sleeping bags from all 3,000 homeless. On 20° nights, what'd happen?

ChatGPT: 150–400 people could end up in ERs for hypothermia. Dozens could die in a single cold snap — and in a bad scenario, well over a hundred.

Endorsements of public leaders can be nice, but in 2025, there's only one leader's endorsement that has mattered to me in this Mayor's race, and it means everything. The great iconic labor and civil rights leader Dolores Huerta: the world's Number One advocate for Tim Keller & his reelection.

We've gotten used to our north San Mateo Tower being boarded up. But it's about to be brought back to life. This is north San Mateo Tower a couple years from now, filled with new homes, including 44 affordable apartments. That's leadership. That's Mayor Tim Keller's leadership.

Christopher Torres was a 27-year-old with schizophrenia, a young man who’d struggled and tried to build a life. He was in his own backyard in pajamas when officers burst over the fence and killed him. Darren White oversaw APD then—has he ever acknowledged how wrong this was?

A judge found Christopher Torres was unarmed, pinned face-down, terrified, and shot three times in the back without cause. Has Darren White ever faced what happened and understood the need to reform police culture so unjustified APD shootings remain as rare as they are today?

The whole 7 years that Darren White was Sheriff of our county, he used the Middle Ages email address that he gave himself:

[email protected]

But we've tried the Darren White Era once, Burque. It was medieval enough the first time.

Did Darren White go after meth dealers when he headed APD? Nope. He had our police do the reverse sting: Pose as a drug dealer, sell $10 of meth to a homeless, mentally ill, or addicted person, then immediately arrest them for felony possession. Hunted minnows instead of sharks.

Tim Keller didn't cause our homeless crisis. Fentanyl did.

Darren White did cause:

* NM's 2nd worst prison riot
* severe violence against jail inmates
* worst police culture in the U.S.
* jailing of volunteers feeding our homeless
* entrapping addicts into commit felonies

Never again, #Burque.

In the first 2 years Darren White was Sheriff of our county, we suffered the worst serial killing in the history of our state. Never before in American history had a serial killer laid so many victims near each other in an open and accessible space. Darren never noticed 11 women had gone missing.

Analyzed the main policy plank of Darren White - his Day One promise - to decamp all the homeless within 24 hours - and the medical research could not be more clear: Week One of Darren White in office would be a mass-casualty event. My Substack post:

In 2004, when Darren White as our Sheriff was managing our city-county jail, a dozen guards formed "a welcoming party" for 3 arriving prisoners - who'd done nothing wrong yet at the jail - and beat up the 3 shackled men. The only whistleblower was fired. Darren White did nothing to reform the jail.

On August 18, the #ABQ City Council approved the request by
@mayorkeller.bsky.social for $2 million to start turning the 10-story north tower at San Mateo & Central into affordable housing. The 17-story south tower will follow later. If we reelect him, Tim Keller will complete this awesome project.

840 people will move into 240 affordable apartments at Tierra Linda next June. 448 people will move into new homes at West Mesa Ridge. And about 140 people will move into affordable apartments in the old Wells Fargo Bldg. around early 2027. That’s leadership. That’s @mayorkeller.bsky.social. #ABQ
