For me the potential of Spring starts in February. Not quite done with Winter rest, but new stirrings beckon. Time to prepare the soul to steward a new growth of creation, envision, acquire seeds, prune and plant trees, plan for new animals, and as always, pray

eating the burger is a sacrifice he must make to the seed oil gods in order to clear the way for the Good Works

The critiques also beg the question, growth of what? GDP as an indicator of societal health is so discredited at this point it's hard to take seriously. You can have growth, but only if you have a holistic indicator that accounts for natural capital, pollution, inequality, etc

She's coming back tonight, and we decided to do something with the upper level as well. Perennials from around our place, including comfrey, strawberry, oregano, lemon balm, fern, rhubarb, mint, and chives. Most are aggressive expanders, so well let them compete for space

Wife is taking a week long work trip out of the country, and the 5-year old wanted to make a butterfly garden for when she gets back. And so we did

Finished first round of planting basically everything I wanted to get in. Still have plenty of bed space left to tinker with. It's always something to think about the massive amount of ecological intelligence and potential in that soil, ready to shape the surrounding substrate according to its logic
