This old girl, sogenannt "Campari", is a lady of substance and gravity, clocking in at a bit over 1/3 of an imperial ton (estimate about 900 lbs). She's a fully functional early IBM AS/400 in the process of being restored. Finding smaller yet workable shelves is proving to be challenging.

Quiet little sleeper, until you put your foot down, and then it’s a fire breathing rocket. My poor wife didn’t realize she was marrying a closet #petrolsexual. Cold air intake, performance cat and downpipe, stage 1 engine tune, all from Integrated Engineering.

So, I got LUbuntu installed on the damn thing, which was NOT straightforward (actually installed on another machine and swapped drives), and now doing updates. Soooooo slow. OMG so slow. Hours and hours. Reminds me of compiling the kernel on a 486

What what, what what — popped some tags! Check out this cool old laptop I found at the thrift shop. Possibly a titanium 😎. Upgraded it to 8MB and a 1TB SSD. BTW it will use Arch

I have a habit of sometimes tapping my foot while thinking. My wife thinks I'm imitating the bunnies in the yard when they thump, but what I'm really imitating is the Jurassic Park velociraptors, tapping their claw on the linoleum in the kitchen while hunting

I’m repairing an old computer terminal. The wire connecting to the top of the CRT goes to flyback transformer. Even when turned off and unplugged, the CRT can hold 20Kv (probably a lot more), and needs to be discharged at that wire. I did (twice), but it still nipped me one
