You too, Glenn. The rest always helps. It’s so nice to catch up with people, I can’t believe it’s already December. 🩵❄️

Hope your day picks up from here! I've never read Plath but from what I've heard, there are more cheery poets. Hang in there.

This is the one! 💚 Lyrical edges.. rounded, yet raw.

Thanks for reading, Carmella! Feel free to call me Evie, btw. Truthfully I’m not sure what my grandmother would’ve thought of this poem, but it does help me remember her. 💚🌿

Do it! Would be such a fun way to kick things off 🎶

Know exactly what you mean, I feel that way about my own old poems… Sounds like some good parallels though between writing poetry and playing the sax!

The title was “The lonely rock” and it was a poem of place, but it was also about your mother… and it had those raw lyrical edges. I hope you post it again!

Love the idea of you adding more poems to your website this winter. I so enjoyed these - the second one would be a great recurring theme for your work 🎷

Glenn, I love your poetry, and your Ireland poem in particular embodies the lyrical edge that I so admire in your work; the poem comes fully alive because of it. May we all keep striving towards that, in poetry and in life. 🍀

Very generous, both of you! ❤️

Glenn, I just happened to see this while scrolling through at 6am in the dark & it warms my heart that for a moment you imagined I wrote this stunning poem, which is actually one of my favorites from John Adlam. I love it too. Stark & uncompromising, with beautiful language.
