Great re-encountering many infosec folks I've missed since they moved to Mastodon 🥲

Interestingly, the early adopters still seem to be among the main characters here

Still a lot of chatter about the platform itself (e.g. "skeets"). ~Every Clubhouse room eventually devolved into talking about Clubhouse itself

This platform will have arrived when/if that stops and people just poast
Been through a few iterations of the "wow it's so cool here on this new platform" loop

Early adopters may remain somewhat important in six months, but the design of the AT Protocol will be >>>>> in terms of its staying power

Super excited to see where it goes, all looking good so far

I'm really enjoying this series by TXMC about the typical path of recessions and where we stand relative to history

I've skipped a few in the series, but these are my favorites

Deletes now are similar to "putting something in the trash" on an OS. We have the functionality for "emptying the trash" implemented, but not in the app or communicated yet. We'll get that in soon!

What you're seeing here is like doing an img search on your computer & seeing some imgs in the trash

Not sure what the right fix is, but staging.bsky.app links open in the browser when using the app (and vice-versa, I would assume)

I could hack together an easy fix with an iOS Shortcut to fiddle with the URL in the share sheet if force-touch on links worked the way it does on Twitter, but alas..

I think I am now the first person to post the words "Federal Reserve" on this app

There's probably a more convenient way to do this, but you can populate the bsky.auth file indigo wants from the values in the "root" key of your Local Storage if you're on the website (https://github.com/bluesky-social/indigo/blob/ffd9a9aa654579573e5b8fc96ecb8684f2c05163/xrpc/xrpc.go#L35-L40)

The feedback button in the sidebar takes you to a simple Google Form

Gives me more confidence that someone is actually looking at it, because they haven't had to megascale the feedback process into its own system lol

Oh no...

I can't build up an infinite library of Bluesky bookmarks I never actually look at again but that satisfy my deep psychological need to have poasts readily accessible to me if I need them later 😰
