Cool so blue shield won’t pay for an MRI for my back despite having a gene for a genetic Back disease my mom has b/c I need to do PT first except that i’ve tried that and can’t afford $75/session to do basically what I do at Pilates 4-5 times per week. Fun. So I guess I just keep living in pain.

If anyone needs a distraction tomorrow, for, uh, any reason, here to suggest cleaning your home! 😍 That's what I'll be doing. Very therapeutic and good for body and mind. Especially when blasting music or a podcast.

I’m afraid of any kind of 🔥. never lit a match. I have oodles of candles I’ve gotten as gifts. Some I’ve given away b/c 🤷🏼♀️. One of my 8th graders recently was like- why don’t you just get a candle warmer? Friends. Why did no one tell me? I’m totally enjoying my winter candy apple candle scent w no 🔥!

Today’s chatGPT use… we do “covert colleague” (think secret Santa but once a month all year long). Nov theme is a note of gratitude. My cc is one of my besties who knows my writing and style. So I typed it up and used chatGPT to “put in a different voice.” Hope it helps throw her off the scent

My team and I try to do a staff 15 days of Christmas (catholic school- Christmas is a given). Dress days, treats, Christmas party, stocking mass (to be donated to food pantry), etc. we need 4 more days. Anyone have a fun idea for me?

Feeling incredibly over it right now due to some comments from one of my classes. I wish I didn’t work so hard to help everyone else have a friendly staff, a good extracurricular, and HS prep, and that I could just give study hall and free time every day like they have in other classes.

My favorite simple (and I mean SIMPLE) act of kindness is when I pass someone unloading their cart and they are almost done, I ask to take it for them. I’ve got my cart, they don’t have to return it, and the store staff has one less to corral. You prob already do this too. If not, try it!

At a HS musical to see one of my fave former Sa. It’s is already 15 min late. If I didn’t love this student so much I’d be out the door at this point 😡 sitting in the crowd is also reminding me I don’t really like teenagers (despite teaching them. I like those, just not ones out in public 😬🤦🏼♀️)

If I put half as much time and effort into my actual teaching part of my job as I do into all the other parts of my job, I’d be awesome. (And before people comment- the other stuff is mostly self appointed)!
