This might look like poo in a pie pan, but this date pie is one of the best desserts I've ever made. I feel like I'm on a redemption arc after the pecan pie was still completely liquid under the burnt surface a day later.

I hit major burnout with crochet while working on my tapestry, but when I come back to it, I'd like to make some ACNH amigurumi.

If I've learned anything from art modeling, it's that good lighting can improve anything. Does it change the fact that the pie is burnt on top? No, but it sure it prettier here in all its imperfect glory.

While I was rotating the pecan pie, Gremmy Grub helped my partner decorate a tree. This'll be the first tree I've had in my whole adult life because cats. 😂 We have a high mantel now to put it on, so nobody will be eating plastic branches or bulbs. (Tippy LOVES bulbs.)

Only having a convection oven to bake with is fun. Just look at that uneven bake. 😂 But hey, for my first ever pecan pie, I'm not too bummed about it. I think it'll be tasty under the surface. 🤞🏻

Took my first stab at corn pudding. Since sweet corn is sweet enough on its own, I decided to only add a light dusting of sugar to the top. It made for more of a breakfast style casserole, but I'm not unhappy with it. I think some melted cheese over a scoop would be perfect.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?
This was extremely difficult because Franz Ferdinand, Editors, Metric, Bloc Party, Wolf Parade, and so many others released great albums that year, but I have to go with the only Deathcab album I own because What Sarah Said can still make me cry.

Switched my system setting to 日本語 after learning that Animal Crossing has furigana to help with kanji pronunciation. How many hours (minutes??) do you give this novice before I switch back to English?
