What did baboons do to upset you so much?

Why? Because Corbyn is as big a threat to the UK as Farage. He was never fit to be PM and it cost the left 2 elections - two of the most radical manifestos - and still lost and lost because of him. He’s a toxic liability. YP won’t exist by the next GE at this rate.

The many faces of Farage:
Farage the Führer;
Farage the fascist;
Farage the fleecer;
will Farage the felon ever surface?

I just watched Reeves’s speech in full for the first time. This line did make me laugh but then I thought “why isn’t Blackrod marching Farage straight to jail, denying him his ECHR rights and leaving him there. See how he fares. “

Atypical of the 🐂💩 MSM references in my first post above. Ben Wilkinson from the Times bemoaning his loss of salary sacrifice.
Of all the tax attacks on the middle class, this was the worst — The Times and The Sunday Times
It seems a lifetime ago that the chancellor spoke in Downing Street and swore that she would put the country before her party. That all went out of the window today as she unleashed a barrage of tax a...

Not just businesses but govts and potentially whole economies, defences, transport systems and more, much more, could literally implode because of AI Misuse

Great piece and very welcome insights on the risks of going hell for leather in chase of the AI Holy Grail use case. It’s going to backfire and bite many businesses very hard on the 🍑 and cost them an existential fortune in some cases

Declaration of interests:-
I own an EV
I earn 6 figures
I save into a cash ISA
I benefit from salary sacrifice on my pension
I’d have raised income tax - a lot AND the “could have done mores” I reference above.

10/ Minimum wage rise - to be welcomed
11/ no designer cars on Motability -should not be an issue for anyone.
Could have done more on fossil fuel producers, multinationals who don’t pay tax if they hide debt here, full on asset taxes and an exit tax on assets removed from the UK but overall a B-

8/pension salary sacrifice - one I don’t agree with as it will disincentivise people from accumulating a decent pension pot. I make wide use of it but I’ll be retired before it kicks in.
9/ tax threshold freeze - nothing new and a way of increasing tax take without increasing tax rates
November 26, 2025 at 7:13 PM
5/ EV mileage - £360 a yr for average mileage driver. For those who can afford an EV it’s not a lot and way cheaper than fuel duty for the same distance travelled
6/ reinstatement of child benefit - about time; a win for the left
7/ Cash ISAs - if you can save >12k pa you can pay tax on the interest
November 26, 2025 at 7:13 PM
1/ increase in dividend tax - tough, get over it and pay your share
2/ Mansion tax - a start but no where near the needs for wealth asset tax
3/ Tourist tax - it’s pennies and aligns us with pretty much the rest of the world
4/ sports betting/gambling - the right industry to hammer

This was much more of a budget I’d expect from a Labour chancellor. It’s not enough - for progressives budgets rarely have been but my thoughts:-
November 26, 2025 at 7:13 PM
I wouldn’t suggest relying on the MSM to talk about it at all. But progressives need to fish where the fish are and get this outcome Facebook, insta, TikTok etc - Farage voters don’t typically use BlueSky. This is a much bigger challenge as many of us don’t use TikTok or Meta products either

Similar story at Lancashire CC - just don’t read that as LFC. Things are bad enough at Liverpool this season thank you!
