A refresh of my values (for anyone who cares) @bladeofthes.bsky.social got me thinking with a recent post about financial interests so a new page has been added to cover the role/stds expected in public life. As a school governor for 20 yrs and a cllr for 7 I’d like to think I meet such standards

Since Zack became high profile in the Green Party and then won the leadership vote it’s been lovely to have that feeling of hope again. We knew we needed the Tories out & I don’t think any of us really thought Labour would screw us over so spectacularly. But here we are & for me the future is Green.

Where the hell was Chris Mason’s judgement during the Brexit Referendum? Where was it during the 2019 GE Campaign? Where was it during the height of Covid when ministers were partying? Not once before have he or his colleagues decide to exercise their judgement and tell the nation the truth.
Chris Mason: Why, in my judgement, Reeves was misleading on one specific point
The Chancellor chose not to share some information on tax receipts in an unusual press conference, given before the Budget.

Your Party co-founder Zarah Sultana refuses to enter group's conference hall
Your Party's "historic" founding conference has descended into chaos on day one as one of its co-founders stages a boycott over claims of a "purge".

There’s daft, there’s mad, there’s totally whacko and then there’s the Office of Rail and Road. Heidi Alexander needs to step in and bang heads over this - a train will run 5x a week - Manc to London - WITHOUT passengers!!!
Soon-to-be-axed 7am Manchester-London train will still run – but without passengers

Interesting budget after time to digest it. I don’t think I’ve ever heard as much 🐂💩 reaction from the MSM to a budget in my lifetime. As for Bad Enoch saying Reeves is worst chancellor ever I think she must have forgotten Crazy Kwarteng.

I don’t think Orwell would believe the state of the world we live in. Neither 1984 nor Animal Farm were as dystopian as 2025 UK and USA
I’m a past winner of the Orwell Prize & won partly because I exposed Vote Leave’s unlawful activities.

Michael Gove was its co-convener & refused to answer a single q. He’s now a judge of the prize & our world is truly one that Orwell would recognise

The right is doing nothing that wasn’t foretold. They have a strategy and a plan and both are in plain sight.
I’m still bemused by why progressives are surprised by this - everything, and I mean everything the right has done in the last 30 yrs was predicted and documented. Everything they still plan on doing likewise. First The Sovereign Individual (blueprint) and then Mandate for Leadership (2025 Project)
