I’m really liking the title the editor at Central Bylines chose for my article. Sums your novel up so well!

The recent launch of #TheSentientOnes in Stoke-on Trent was such a fun event - as you can see from the lead photo!

Would be interesting to know what the likely emissions/pollutants are for a plant like this. And the extra lorry traffic forecast. Can’t imagine it’ll all have zero impact on the local environment.

I was planning to attend your book event tonight but the weather looks pretty rubbish for driving over to Louth from Sleaford 🙁

I’d be honoured if you’d consider reviewing my novel The Sentient Ones. But a word of caution: the story begins gently but grows increasingly dark. It’s not for the faint of heart.

Kind regards,

Brendan.

I see you're based in Lincs? The flatlands in the south of the county are the setting for my upcoming cli-fi thriller #FloodWatersDown (Spring 2026).

My upcoming novel #FloodWatersDown (Spring 2026) is an interesting take on many of these issues.
“Haunting, prophetic & fiercely human - a powerful exploration of survival, resistance & moral reckoning in a world undone by climate collapse & threatened by the intelligence it created to save itself.”

"And maybe that’s what climate fiction, at its best, can offer. Not just warnings but alternatives. Not just despair but a glimpse of the radical imagination we’ll need to survive – and adapt."

#FloodWatersDown - my upcoming novel (Spring 2026).

Yes, but all parties get donations. That is exactly what's wrong with British politics. Money buying favours. Only if you make donations and lobbying illegal will you get a proper government of and for the people.
