I dropped off mine and its four controllers (three of which I never used) at Free Geek just a couple days before I learned a friend was developing Ouya games and really could have used it. Still pretty bummed I scrapped it when I did. Knightmare Tower and Nimble Quest were perfect Ouya games though.

So here are my goals for 2026, since nothing ever happens in December anyway:

• Make this trailer, and finish the last half of the game's dialogue
• Start wooing publishers
• Move out of the US for good
• Land my first paying Experioso + Consultation client (experioso.com/plus-consult...)

My 45th year needs to be better, and I'm not sure how that's going to happen. But it sucks knowing I can point out what made 44 worse than those that came before it (AI and the disappearance of proper tech recruiters), and that those causes aren't going away any time soon.

This entire year has been a bust in so many ways. I did make it to SF during GDC, and I feel fortunate for that. I left the city once more all year, when a friend drove out to the coast. I can't say I didn't enjoy parts of the year, but despite my efforts, it will always feel like it was wasted.

I'm planning a bunch of FMV shoots right now and it kills me how many people would just have a machine fake something like that. But then again, if I use any CGI to make elements of it look futuristic (the clips are sent from the year 2290), I imagine someone will suggest AI was used. You can't win.
