In January after the ending of Paleothalassia phase one we did a little mini event which saw an exploration of the continent during the Cambrian in the fictional Tohorā shale.

It was fun seeing the speculative beasties that were made for this mini event

like its so unnnatural to see even modern aussie animals in the snow, imagine the australian megafauna

Phase 2 will also conclude with several murals representing the unquie fauna and flora found across the continent.

here is some examples of murals from phase 1

For those who want to join a fun spec evo community event maybe consider joining paleothalassia. The second phase has just started with this one being set in the last bit of the early permian, the Kungurian, about 90 million years after its intial seperation. Consider joining

while not the possum they seem to usually post, who doesn't love brush tail possums. They are some of the most obsurd acting animals that I've ever seen.

they always look so shocked no matter what they are doing

#paleostream some stuff from todays paleostream. Finally managed to catch on again
November 30, 2024 at 2:06 AM
They are not having a good time right now

That’s right It’s another WIP. This time it’s an Australopithecine that specced into running instead of tool use
November 17, 2024 at 4:24 AM
We gonna explore these guys tool usage when I finish these guys. The Halfling's usage of more advanced tools and their cranial morphology has particularly brought their classification into question, where as the Giants usaage is much more in line with Paranthropus proper

More Timeless World stuff. A WIP of the mighty Australopithecus (Halfling) and a near finished Paranthopus (Giant)
November 16, 2024 at 7:45 AM
He walks and really likes eating grass as all Paranthropus does. He however is of course a bit bigger than most Paranthropus species.

The Timeless World returns (debuts on Bluesky). Here we have a WIP of gargantuan Australopithecine on the robust side of the subtribe.
November 15, 2024 at 2:26 PM
Also of note for this project is the intoduction of the wild card taxa. Only one of these guys will be made canon (unless the public decides otherwise).

First we have the last Hurdiid radiodont with restrictions being it can only be 20cm long

We also have the last Osteostracid stuck in the lake
November 14, 2024 at 1:42 PM
This time on Paleothalassia we have Fish, "fish," a walking with monsters reference, three eyed freaks, bird lizards, deep water dwellers, big worms and a primeval reference

more is to come soon (hopefully) as phase 1 is ending soon, then Timeless World stuff shall make its golorious revival
November 14, 2024 at 1:42 PM
these two arachnids were directly inspired by Primeval creatures those being the Silurian Scorpion and Carboniferous Arachnid, both modified into clades present on Paleothalassia
October 26, 2024 at 2:57 PM
First Paleothalassia post for Bluesky. here we have a few arthropods, both arachnids and insects
