this probably comes off really hostile to the quote tweet and to be clear i totally agree with it. i just think part of why people pretend their career is built off books alone is also because people act like that’s the only way a writing career is real which is also absurd and damaging

kind of an informational interview related request but i just want to talk to someone about how to present my experience in a better light - not expecting to be connected on any jobs. work me is professional and pleasant to speak to and won’t embarrass you to your colleague

i’m trying to change fields and having very little luck - my resume is tailored to a related but different niche field and despite trying to rework it, on top of the job market being what it is i think i’m still just not presenting myself well. but i‘m not sure if my changes are making a difference
