Trump's post is bizarre on many levels, not least of which is how do you judge someone's ability to love our country, or be "compatible" w/Western Civilization. (Legend has it Mahatma Ghandi was once asked what he thought of Western Civilization. He replied "I think it would be a good idea.")

I'm with you, esp. if he ends up serving all 4 years. I'm hearing that if Dems win the midterms & a majority in Congress, they'll bring impeachment charges. I understand even if they don't have the votes to convict, the trial will bring reveal all the dirty laundry he & his enablers have hidden.

It is a puzzle, Carol. I can't see any benefit to Congressional Republicans supporting him and acceding to his every whim now. He is going down, I believe, and the Republicans who stand by him are also going down. And the sooner the better, no?

Thanks for posting this, Brian. I live in Indiana & we have been protesting the redistricting the gov. wants. First, he was going to let it drop when he saw how many were opposed to it, but I guess Trump & Mike Johnson have exerted more pressure so voting is this week. Ugh!

Very nice post, Annie & very good point. Everything that shows up on our screens or in our news feeds is about buying, buying, buying. It's a good time to think about it all more carefully, and it's also a natural time because many of us are participating in the current "We ain't buyin'" weekend.
