'Weak populist politics' to my mind is to leave the millionaire/billionaire class alone with their wealth and cut benefits and services to the poor and most vulnerable - those least able to defend themselves.

I'm with you Zarah - this is no time for timidity - we need progressive taxation and redistribution of wealth which is completely unbalanced in favour of the richest.
